I donated because it is so important to get food to those who are giving of themselves so that we might continue to be healthy. There are way too many people on the margins right now who need our assistance; it is incumbent upon those of us who can to spread some care for others.
My family leaves our home very infrequently and sometimes leaving can feel traumatic. This is all a traumatic experience. Little exciting things like receiving this give us something to look forward to in the comfort of our home, the only place we feel safe right now.
This was our third time enjoying a meal through this program. We make sure to leave a large tip for the place we pickup from and I intend on sending in donations via Venmo. This is so fun for us. Because of your program we have not only tried places we’ve never been to, but food we would have never ordered. Today our very very picky eater with sensory issues ate almost her entire meal, that NEVER happens. Thank you for organizing and supporting local businesses. Thank you for giving us something to look forward to during these trying times!!
Delivery of food is a lifesaver for us.
I don't have a car so mobility is my biggest issue.
I have risk factors for the virus and have hardly left my house for the past two months.
Everything has changed for us.
I work from home, am a single parent, and cannot leave to get food. Friday’s are impossible for me to leave the house. Meals have been basic and it’s depressing! We have struggled.
Thank you so much for sharing with us and with the community!! ... we are both just exhausted, financially, emotionally, physically. So we are very much part of the group who hasn't had restaurant food in an absolute age!! And oh my goodness what amazing food it was, too!! Positively scrumptious!! Nirvana clearly gave it their all, as did the wonderful person who delivered the meals... We didn't even realize just how hungry we were until we were wolfing down our entire plates! It. Was. Magical. ... Thank you for all that you're doing for this community!! I assure you it means the absolute world to the people and business you're helping!
We are all in this together. That's the point right? Most of the people I know in Corvallis want to support each other. And they know that makes Corvallis a good place to live and have kids and find and keep friends. So we need to keep it that way. Right?
I donated to this fund because I want to support our local businesses and any one who needs a meal in our community at this difficult time. Thanks for giving me the opportunity.
Anxiety when visiting the grocery store has led me to order take out more often. I love getting food from local businesses though!
I care about the people who are food insecure - especially at this time.
We're busier and more tired as we bake to feed others. Not much time or energy to cook for ourselves.
Thank you! Wish I could give you a massage!
